Ideas Pool ("the App," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Information you provide:
- Account info: Email address (managed by Firebase Authentication; passwords are never stored in plain text)
- Personal settings: Display name, avatar, theme preference
- Content: Ideas, tags, progress, attachments (images and voice recordings)
Information collected automatically:
- Anonymous usage statistics (feature usage, idea counts, badge unlocks) β not linked to your identity
- Error logs and performance data (via Firebase)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and sync your ideas across devices
- Account authentication and security
- To analyze anonymous usage patterns and improve the app
- To diagnose and fix technical issues
4. Data Storage
- Location: Google Firebase / Google Cloud Platform
- Attachment path:
users/{UID}/ideas/{ideaId}/{filename} β fully isolated per user
- Encryption in transit: TLS
- Encryption at rest: AES-256 (enabled automatically by Firebase Storage)
- Retention: Account data and content are retained until you delete them; error logs are retained for up to 90 days
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:
- Service providers: Google Firebase, Google Cloud Platform
- Legal requirements: When required by law or lawful government request

7. Your Rights

8. Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.
9. Data Security
- TLS encryption in transit
- AES-256 encryption at rest (Firebase Storage)
- Firestore security rules: each user can only access their own data
- Firebase Storage rules: attachments are isolated by user UID
- Firebase Analytics does not transmit user identifiers
- Passwords are managed by Firebase Authentication and never stored in plain text
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes, we will notify you within the app and update the date above. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
